How to send ebooks to your e‑reader with Epubby
Getting a book onto your e-reader shouldn't take cables, email tricks or a desktop app. With Epubby it's two steps: drop in your file, then send it to your device over Wi-Fi.
Step 1: Add your ebook to Epubby
This part is the same whatever you read on.
- Go to epubby.ai and drop in a PDF or EPUB.
- Blizzard tidies it up: a real cover, the right title and author, proper chapters and no broken letters.
- The clean EPUB is saved to your library, ready to read in your browser or send.
- In your library, tap Send to e-reader on the book and pick your device.
Your library and sending come with an Epubby membership: pay what you want, from $3 to $7 a month. Become a member to get started.
Xteink (CrossPoint)
This is the most hands-off option: Epubby sends the book straight to your reader over Wi-Fi. It works with the Xteink X4 Pro, X4 Classic and X4 running CrossPoint.
- On your reader, switch on Wi-Fi file transfer in CrossPoint. Make sure it's on the same Wi-Fi as your phone or computer.
- In Epubby, tap Send to e-reader and choose CrossPoint sync.
- Check the address. It's usually
http://crosspoint.local; if not, use the one your reader shows on its Wi-Fi transfer screen. - Tap Send EPUB. The book lands on your reader, so open it from the CrossPoint library.
Tips: Epubby remembers your reader's address for next time. If your browser asks to allow access to devices on your network, say yes. That's how the book reaches your reader. If the browser blocks it, tap Open CrossPoint and drop the downloaded EPUB onto your reader's page. Not running CrossPoint yet? Here's how to install it.
Boox (BOOXDrop)
Boox readers have a built-in way to receive files over Wi-Fi called BOOXDrop, and Epubby hands your book to it. It works with the Palma, Go, Note and Tab.
- On your Boox, open BOOXDrop (Apps → BOOXDrop).
- In Epubby, tap Send to e-reader and choose BOOXDrop, then tap Send EPUB to save the clean file.
- Tap Open BOOXDrop. That opens push.boox.com, or the local address your Boox shows if you've entered it.
- Drop the EPUB in. It appears on your Boox, ready to read.
Tip: Epubby remembers which BOOXDrop address you use, so next time it's tap, open, drop.
Kindle
Kindle goes through your phone's share sheet. Once the book is in the Kindle app, it syncs to every Kindle on your account.
On iPhone
- Open your Epubby library on your phone, tap Send to e-reader and choose Kindle.
- Tap Share to Kindle. Your share sheet opens with the EPUB attached.
- Pick Kindle from the app row. Not there? Tap More and turn Kindle on.
- Choose Open in Kindle. The book is in your library and syncing to your Kindles.
On Android: it's the same, but in step 3 you pick Kindle from the list of apps. Install the Kindle app from Google Play first if it isn't there.
On a computer: tap Download EPUB, move the file to your phone, and share it to the Kindle app from there. Or email it to your Send to Kindle address.
